Over 2 decades of health services across urban and rural areas, we have realized that besides ignorance being a prime factor, poor economic conditions is the main reason why people avoid healthcare. Wehile interior villages do not have access to even a single Medical Practitioner, the city slum population seems lost in their daily struggles to make ends meet, becoming victims of long ignored diseases.

Savitribai Phule Mahila Ekatma Samaj Mandal  takes a parallel approach to this massive challenge by providing high standard healthcare service at the door step at a token cost and holds regular advocacy and sensitization drives. It focuses on ‘Mother & Child’ projects in the villages and runs daily OPds at its 3 Slum Health Centres in the city (Guruvarya Lahuji Salve Arogya Kendra, Sant Rohidas Arogya Kendra, Saing Gadgebaba Arogya Kendra). It also caters to the industrial population through the Shri Guruji Mobile Clinic and works hand in hand with Zilla Parishad schools and Grampanchayats to implement innovative projects, which have recorded remarkable rates of success.
